On December 16, 2011, Melton Management announced the acquisition of Butler & MacMaster Automotive, a specialty engine machine shop located in Hallowell, ME. The effective date of operation began on January 1, 2012. The new business will continue to operate as Butler MacMaster; however the entity now becomes a division of Melton Sales and Service.
Dave MacMaster, the founder of Butler & MacMaster Automotive, will continue to manage the business and will continue to offer daily vital support so as to provide their valued customers and suppliers with uninterrupted professional service. Congressman Jon Runyan (R-NJ) visited the Melton drivetrain remanufacturing facility to tour the facility and learn how Meltons is directly supporting the U.S. Warfighter. Job growth, current and historical achievements, and worldwide support were among the many topics discussed during the visit.
November, 2010 - U.S. Army awards Melton $30,946,300.00 to remanufacture diesel engines for the Department of the Army.
Melton has been selected for an “Above and Beyond” Award, issued by the Guard and Reserve branch of the Department of Defense. This award is presented in recognition for Melton Sales and Service’s exceptional support to the National Guard and the Department of Defense.
Raytheon Technical Services Company awarded Melton with an Appreciation Award for the “sustained superior support of the US Marines and the USMC SecRep Program”. This award is exemplary to the personal efforts dedicated by the entire team, especially the men and women remanufacturing these products on a daily basis.
