The HMMWV 6.5L Detuned remanufactured diesel engines are offered in a complete drop-in configuration. All engines are remanufactured to Military / OEM factory specifications. These engines include new domestically sourced parts; which include pistons and rings, main bearings, rod bearings, pin bushings, cam bearings, seals, gaskets, freeze plugs, fuel pump, fuel hoses, water pump, thermostat, oil filter. The injection pump and injectors are remanufactured and tested to meet specifications. The oil pump and rocker arms are remanufactured or replaced with new. All major castings are cleaned and NDT inspected (magnafluxed) for cracks / indications. No cracked castings are repaired. The cylinder head guides, valves, and valve seats are machined to meet specifications, or replaced. Each engine is dynamometer tested for a minimum of three (3) hours to perform break-in as well as verify performance and quality control.
THIS ENGINE HAS A $2,500.00 REFUNDABLE CORE CHARGE THAT WILL BE PAID PRIOR TO SHIPMENT OF THE REMANUFACTURED ENGINE. UPON RECEIPT OF THE ACCEPTABLE CORE, THE CORE CHARGE WILL BE CREDITED BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT. THE CORE CHARGE MAY BE WAIVED IF THE CORE IS RECEIVED PRIOR TO PROCESSING THE ORDER. THE 6.5L TURBO ENGINE CORE MUST HAVE NO MISSING PARTS, VISIBLE HOLES OR CRACKS & CRANKSHAFT ROTATES 360 DEGREES. IF THERE ARE MISSING PARTS, VISIBLE HOLES OR CRACKS, OR THE CRANKSHAFT DOESN’T ROTATE 360 DEGREES, THE CORE CREDIT WILL BE PRORATED ACCORDINGLY TO REFLECT THE COSTS OF THE MISSING AND/OR DAMAGED COMPONENTS.
